Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida is a 319-bed acute care facility that has served Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for 64 years. Manatee Memorial’s staff comprises more than 500 physicians, residents and allied health professionals and employs more than 1,400 people.  The range of medical services includes emergency medicine for all ages; cardiovascular; surgical; orthopedics; wound and stroke care; outpatient and radiology services; rehabilitation; respiratory care; sleep and oncology; and women’s and children’s services, including the county’s only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Center.
Manatee Memorial Hospital’s accredited centers of excellence include the Manatee Heart and Vascular Center/The Valve Institute; the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center; The Lung Institute; the Outpatient Imaging Center; the Wound Care and Hyperbaric Program; and the Breast Care Center. The hospital has been designated as a Blue Distinction® Center + in the Blue Distinction Centers for Cardiac and Maternity Care as part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association’s Distinction Specialty Care program. And in 2016, for the eighth year, Manatee Memorial received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award with Target: Stroke (SM) Honor Roll.
